This Forgotten Childhood Game Might Be the Secret to Effortless Manifestation

And once you see it, you can’t unsee it

What if manifesting is much easier than we think?

I had a realization in the shower today.

Just… standing there, soaking in the water on my skin, the abundance playlist playing in the background — for a brief moment — I stopped trying to believe it.

I just decided to step into my vision for a second. Not just taking a shower, but taking a rich auntie shower.

I decided to move as if it were already true.

And then something clicked.

I remembered how we used to play as children.

We didn’t try to believe we were princesses, healers, famous singers, or powerful leaders.

We just — became them.

We didn’t sit there questioning:“Is this realistic?”“Am I delusional?”“What if it doesn’t happen?”

We just played.

And somehow, it felt real enough to experience it.

And that’s when it hit me:

We’ve been overcomplicating manifestation.

Because what if the “secret” was never about forcing belief

— but about falling in love with the role and embodying it?

Think about it.

Right now, most people approach manifestation like a test:

  • Repeating affirmations they don’t fully believe

  • Visualizing while secretly doubting

  • Trying to “convince” themselves they’re worthy

It feels like an effort. Like work. Like pressure.

But as children?

We just decided on the new role and scenario we wanted to explore, out of pure curiosity and joy.

And then we invited our playmates to back us up:

If we wanted to be a cop, we asked them to play our villain. If we wanted to be a mom, we asked them to be a dad.

If we wanted to display some drama, we asked them to enact it with us. And if we wanted to be rich aunties, we declared ourselves rich and enacted our lifestyle accordingly.

We didn't distrust that our playmate would play their role accordingly, and if they didn't, we simply reminded them: this is what I need you to do, or we worked with what we got.

And if we grew tired of our role, we changed it.

Now here comes the twist, that many of us adults struggle to notice intuitively:

Maybe the reason roleplay felt so natural back then is because it's the very nature of existence, and life responds the same way.

What if the universe is our eternal playmate?

Maybe this world just made us forget the rules.

What if your only job was to play the role?

Not fake it till you make it.

Not deluding ourselves.

But playing our role.

The version who:

  • doesn’t feel financial anxiety

  • feels safe in love

  • moves through life with quiet certainty

  • chooses what feels fulfilling — just because

Not to “get something.”

But for the joy of being that. For the curiosity of how it feels and lives. For the creative freedom of exploring where that timeline leads.

And suddenly, life begins bending to match your energy.

This is where timelines shift.

Have you ever noticed how the biggest changes are energetic ones?

A decision so profound it brings an identity shift with it.

We want to speak differently, our priorities change, people's perception of us change and the outcome is a reality that just isn't the same as what we experienced before.

This can be the choice to adopt a healthy lifestyle after a devastating diagnosis, a relationship dying from betrayal, a vacation that awakens our sense of freedom, or a retreat that helps us meet ourselves at our own depth.

And suddenly, it's like our reflection field changes with us. New people, new opportunities show up. Or have we just changed the filters through which we perceive reality?

I'm sure you have felt it before. The moment you set an intention with such determination that it changes how you see the world and move from here.

Now the question becomes: how can you do it at will?

Not when you finally force yourself to believe hard enough.

But when you become so immersed in being that version of you…that it starts to feel familiar.

Natural.

Like a role your body already knows how to play.

So what if manifestation isn’t about discipline…

…but about embodying the role you love playing and clearly requesting the tools you need?

Maybe the version of you you’re trying to become isn’t waiting for you to believe harder.

Maybe she’s waiting for you to become her more often.

In that way, everything we do can become part of the play. How would you dress for the role? What music would you listen to in the car? How would you talk to others and yourself?

And if our environment doesn't yet mirror everything back to us, think back to how creative you were in finding a replacement as a kid.

The beautiful thing about this technique is that there is little to lose in trying it, but so much to gain.

And once you start seeing it —

You really can’t unsee it.

You don’t need to believe harder. You just need to remember how to play.
